Greetings my friends, time for another random little update from that weird little head of mine.

'So what's been happening in Irene's world?' I hear a faint voice in the distance ask; well many partially interesting things my friends - yes, partially interesting. Fist things first, i'm just UTTERLY EXCITED about an upcoming trip to Sydney with one of my best mates, to visit another one of our best mates to have a jolly good time running around the state of New South Wales like the rambunctious creatures we are. I ABSOLUTELY CAN'T WAIT ^___^.

Another thing, I started actually writing creatively again, but it's been a bumpy road. I've a few things in the works, each are mutually exclusive - yet all somehow interrelated (that made little sense, I know).

The list of works-in-progress are as follows:

Coming of Age:
Synopsis: Trunks, now a grown man, reflects on various events which shaped his life. It is only a few hours before his 30th birthday, and a few key memories are coming back to him. Focus is the father-son relationship between Vegeta and Trunks.
Status: Currently priority 1. About 500+ words in to the first chapter (currenty stuck, which is why I'm writing this blog). It'll have around 5 or so chapters, depending on how detailed I get.

Redemption:
Synopsis: Set approx 3 years after the Cell Games, Vegeta has come to terms with the death of his archrival and has a new direction to pursue; he is starting to enjoy a life of peace with his new family. However this is all about to change as a new threat arises. A mysterious 'friend' from beyond the mortal plane warns him that he cannot achieve peace without first redeeming his past sins; and that the future hold a much greater challenge which will reveal itself in time. This story will serve as a prologue to an epic project.
Status: Still in planning stages. But plans are by now very much well formed, could commence on it soon. It is priority number 2.

Study of a Fallen Prince (working title)
Synopsis: Series of vignettes dealing with key events centering around Vegeta, ranging from his childhood to late adulthood. It will be told from his perspective, some chapters of which contain extreme violence.
Status: Tentative planning stages. This will be difficult to write due to its sporadic nature. That and due to the themes, personally it's hard to write. Will make a great challenge though...

E Nomine Patris
Synopsis: A light-hearted story about Vegeta reflecting on his relationships with his children, in contrast with his own upbringing.
Status: Currently formless, but i'm writing this to balance out the darkness that will be predominant in the former fic.


Man of the Year (working title)
Synopsis: Another light-hearted fic written as an experiment. Written mainly from the perspective of an ambitious young reporter, recently hired by a top publication a'la Time Magazine to interview their recipient of the 'Man of the Year' award: Dr. Trunks Vegeta Brief.
Status: Also currently formless XD. Very much in formative stage.

Reluctant Guardians (working title)
Synopsis: Random little story focussing on Vegeta, Piccolo and Android 18. Set some years after DBZ, yet not entirely related to DBGT since I hate that shit. But Goku is nowhere in sight, having left to train with Shenron - the safety of the planet is left in the hands of its strongest warrior, Vegeta. Every Friday week he meets with 18 and Piccolo to patrol the Earth, making sure everything is a-ok. Over the years they have become comrades, 'friends' even, by their definitions. This story focusses on one particular campfire conversation they have - a reflection of how far they've come, and the irony they have come to realise.
Status: Advanced planning stages, will commence on this soon. High priority, as I have been planning this one for a couple of years now.

Last but definitely not least:

Inferno
Synopsis: A DBZ, Diablo and Korn crossover, my most difficult endeavor yet. Centers on the adventures of Vegeta and Jonathan Davis; who have been forced into an unlikely partnership by the Archangel Tyrael. Together they must complete a series of difficult missions; the fate of the universe rests in their hands. Secondary characters include Bulma, Trunks, Bulla, Goten plus others. The whole story is an allegory depicting the eternal struggle between good and evil, and the mortals caught in between. In short: I plan to conjure an epic that probably few of you will even read xD.
Status: Constantly evolving work-in-progress. Not even sure if I'll be able to start on this by the end of the year. It's a very ambitious project filled with complications, requiring research for some components. And yes, it has sequels.. it's a trilogy.

Whew. That was a LOT of typing xD. But it had to be done, at least I know I've got my ideas itemised and indovidualised... adds a bit or organisation to my motley thoughts.

I still have a lot of comments to answer, but right now it's nearing 1am and I absolutely MUST get some rest in order to retain some sort of brain function.
